Christchurch, New Zealand hosted an exciting weekend of photographing Japanese sports cars. The city is a renowned hub for modified car enthusiasts, and this trip was a testament to the passion of the local car scene.
The first car to catch the eye was a beautiful Nissan Silvia S13 Drift car. The car had been extensively modified, with a widebody kit, aggressive wheels and a deep blue paint job. The engine was swapped to a turbocharged SR20DET, and the suspension had been upgraded to handle the power. The car had been built with drifting in mind, and it certainly looked the part.
The next car to turn up was a Mazda RX-7, and it had been modified with a more subtle approach. The car had been bagged, giving it a low-slung stance, and the wheels had been swapped for a set of three-piece Work's. With a 1 of 1 custom bodykit, it was an impressive display of the owner's attention to detail.
Overall, it was a great weekend of photographing Japanese sports cars in Christchurch. There was a wide variety of cars on show and it was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with some incredible builds.
